Its raining, its pouring…and it will all be gone tomorrow!
Rain, any rain is always welcome in Santa Fe but it was not what our very nice Santa Fe B&B guests were hoping for this morning.
This was to be their big Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta day, a long anticipated “get up really early and get to the field and see it all” morning.
One thing about Hot Air Balloons, they need cold air to make the hot air rise and take the balloon with it. So, despite the clouds and cold damp our guests headed off at the regulation Balloon Fiesta departure hour of 5:00am. They had their New Mexico map. They had there hot coffee. They had their camera and dressed in layers…
But the rain came harder. The Balloons do not go up in rain.
We can promise spectacular mountain views, we can assure you of a peaceful and restful getaway. We can provide delicious seasonal and local breakfast options.
But even here in the gorgeous high desert of Santa Fe, New Mexico we cannot promise it won’t rain on your balloons.
But you sure will be cozy here at the Hacienda until the rainbow shines through!
