Private Elopements Frequently Asked Questions How does the typical Elopement day proceed at the Hacienda? An Elopement Package entitles you to two hours at the Hacienda, Celebrant, refreshments and more. You may want to schedule your ceremony to start 30 minutes after arrival, to allow for pre-ceremony dressing, photos and settling in.
Immediately after the ceremony you will enjoy a champagne toast and ceremonial cake cutting.
If you have a photographer he or she will ease you through a few nice post-ceremony moments in some of the wonderful locations at the Hacienda, taking full advantage of our amazing views of course!
We offer a good selection of cocktail appetizers, ideal for nibbling while sipping champagne.
Many couples enjoy a wedding dinner, either privately catered at the Hacienda or in one of Santa Fe's fabulous and varied restaurants. We can help with these arrangements if you like.
How do we handle booking rooms for our wedding guests with this package? All wedding couples and their guests are offered a courtesy lodging discount. It is lovely to stay here on the mountain and relax in the days before and after your wedding. You may wish to encourage special guests to stay here as well. You can help to secure Hacienda lodging for your guests.
When confirming your wedding reservation additional lodging availability can be blocked for a fee of $25.00 per room. This is a non-refundable fee and is not applied to the final lodging total.
This Block puts a hold on the rooms you designate for 14 days, time for your guests to contact the Hacienda office and make their own arrangements. All Hacienda lodging reservation policies apply to confirmed bookings.
What if the reception runs passed our scheduled time? You must adhere to the schedule you reserve as Hacienda staff and guests make their plans around yours. If you are concerned your event may need additional time you may be able to book additional hours at the hourly rate.

What assistance can we expect from Hacienda staff in planning our event? All "Private Elopement" couples are provided with a juried list of recommended wedding vendors and professionals. These are the photographers, florists, etc who have been pleased to provide services at previous Hacienda weddings.
They have all earned high praise from their clients here. They can be an invaluable source of information and encouragement during the planning of your wedding.
The Hacienda office can order our flowers through our in-house florist if you like. We can also secure the services of a soloist, duo or trio. In order to avoid miscommunications we suggest that you make arrangements with your photographer directly.
Who will be in charge of our ceremony and reception on our wedding day? You are encouraged to keep the Hacienda office informed of you vendor scheduling (photographer, etc). We will provide you with a copy of your ceremony.
On arrival you will be shown to a guest room to prepare for the ceremony. Hacienda staff will have set-up your cake, champagne and flutes and ceremony site chairs. The Celebrant will organize ceremony participants and answer an guest questions.
Will the Hacienda be open to the public during our Elopement Wedding? Your package does not guarantee privacy but the Hacienda is not available to the public at large. We may have other lodgers that day or there may be couples touring the Hacienda and discussing with staff a possible wedding of their own.
We do not generally schedule appointments during actual ceremony or reception times. Elopement Package
